Wichita Falls and The Wichita Mountains

Ronna and I went home to Wichita Falls this past weekend to visit with mom and, in general, relax. We had a great time as usual. Saturday we decided to go to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma and do some hiking. We made a quick stop at Meers Burger in Meers Oklahoma for a big ol’ burger and I had a beer. The beer is outsourced to a small brewery in Oklahoma and was traditional Choctaw Nation brew. It was delicious. I wish I could do it every weekend. As always mom was great. She bought a Diabetic cookbook so she could fix meals that Ronna could eat. Everything was good except that weird frozen desert stuff  (Sorry mom!). Anyway, it was a good weekend and I look forward to the next time I get to see her. I love you mom.

Makr

I got my Christmas present yesterday. Ronna ordered me a wallet from Makr for Christmas but it was on back order so it just now got here. They’re handmade at a small studio in New York I believe and you can see it in the product. Mine is made from Horween leather and the dye is Oxblood. It was a little pricey but I think it’s the last wallet I’ll ever own. Or at least for a long time. No more Fossil wallets falling apart after a year of use.

New Year

15

2009 is over and good riddance. I’m ready for a new start and I plan to do exactly that. I didn’t make any “resolutions” because I think they’re stupid but I will be making some changes. I plan on getting back on the mountain bike more and getting back in shape. I want to try a “365″ type of project where I create something or draw something every day for 365 days.  So keep an eye out for new stuff and new pics.  Happy New Year everyone!
